On January 29, 2008, Raynes McCarty attorney Jenimae Almquist spoke before an audience of attorneys eager to learn how to balance family life and a career.

The program, titled “How to Have It All - The Career and the Family,” was organized by the bar association’s Women in the Profession Committee. Ms. Almquist was joined on the panel by other highly regarded attorneys who, like her, also have fulfilling family lives, including Karen Detamore, Danielle Banks, Sharon L. Caffrey, Maria A. Feeley and Deborah Epstein Henry.

When Ms.Almquist joined the Firm last year, she was already expecting her second child and knew that she wanted to work part-time but also be actively engaged in complex litigation. The Firm, which works to try to accommodate the family needs of each attorney, was more than happy to work with Jenimae; the Firm for years has welcomed attorneys who want to work part-time.
