Regina M. Foley

Foley represents plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, including automobile and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, products liability and other incidents that result in catastrophic personal injury and death.  Previously, she was a defense attorney representing physicians in medical malpractice actions in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.  The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which rates attorneys' legal abilities and ethics by surveying opponents and judges with whom the attorney has had cases, has given Ms. Foley its highest rating.  In 2004, she was recognized in the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer and The Pennsylvania Law Weekly as being a “Lawyer on the Fast Track,” one of 30 Pennsylvania attorneys under age 40, honoring both her legal skills and her community service.  In 2005, 2006 and 2007, she was named by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, an honor granted to less than 2.5% of lawyers in the state.

Ms. Foley serves her profession on a multitude of levels.  Currently, she is serving a three-year term as an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association and has been elected its Chair for 2011.  She is a member of the Association's State Civil Litigation Section, Medical-Legal Committee, Women in the Profession Committee and Professional Responsibility Committee.  She co-chaired the 2010 Bench Bar Conference and is an appointed member of the Membership Task Force.  Ms. Foley began her activities with the Philadelphia Bar Association when she was elected a member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyer Division in 2001.

Ms. Foley is a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Associations where she has served on the Board of Governors (2001-2006).  She is also a member of the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations and is an elected member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Ms. Foley is an active volunteer with the Support Center for Child Advocates and has represented victims through the Pennsylvania Bar Association FEMA Disaster Relief Program which provides pro bono services to those affected by hurricanes and other disasters.  For her efforts, she has been recognized on the Pro Bono Roll of Honor since 2009 by the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.  She serves on the pastoral council of her church and, from 1997 through 2003, she was an elected member of the Alumnae Board of Mount Saint Joseph Academy.  Since 2006, she has served on the Advisory Board of the Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center focusing on the needs of the immigrant community in the Kensington section of the City.

Ms. Foley graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and received her Juris Doctorate from The Widener University School of Law.  During law school, she was a certified legal intern with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office in the Division of Tort Litigation.  She is an alumnus of The National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
